Washington’s War on Christianity – FACE Act
“When the FACE Act was first passed in the ’90s, both Democratic and Republican administrations avoided using it, questioning its constitutionality,” said policy expert Paul McClusky. “It wasn’t until Barack Obama started using it to attack pro-lifers — and then Joe Biden’s Justice Department ultra-weaponized it — that a growing consensus realized the FACE Act needed to go. Over 90% of its targets were peaceful pro-lifers.”
Under the Biden Administration, the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act of 1994 — originally designed to prevent violence — was been used as a tool of intimidation against Christians and pro-life advocates.
The law prohibits the use of force, threats, or obstruction to interfere with those seeking or providing reproductive services or those exercising religious rights at places of worship.
Yet the enforcement tells another story:
- 97% of FACE Act prosecutions have targeted pro-life individuals, many for non-violent prayer or sidewalk counseling.
- Few, if any, prosecutions have protected churches or pregnancy centers that were vandalized or attacked.
Under President Trump, the Justice Department limited FACE prosecutions to “extraordinary circumstances” or cases with serious violence — and he even pardoned nearly two dozen pro-lifers who were unjustly prosecuted under the Biden DOJ.
Now, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) has introduced a bill to repeal the FACE Act entirely.
✝️ It’s time to stand up.
Call your congressional representatives and senators.
Tell them: Repeal the FACE Act. Stop the weaponization of justice against Christians.
