Since the and the rise of the mullah-led regime, Iran has transformed from a modernizing regional power into one of the most repressive regimes in the world.
Under the rule of the Islamic Republic, dissent is crushed, women are oppressed, religious minorities are persecuted, and political opposition is often met with imprisonment, torture, or death.
But Iran’s threat does not stop at its borders.
For decades, the U.S. government has identified Iran as the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran funds, arms, and directs terrorist proxies across the Middle East—including Hezbollah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad—groups responsible for the deaths of civilians, including Christians and Jews.
Iranian leaders have repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and continue to pursue regional dominance through violence, intimidation, and proxy warfare.
Peace is always the goal. But peace cannot be built on denial.
I respect the calls for peace from the Church and world leaders. But real peace requires moral clarity. It requires confronting regimes that fund terror, threaten their neighbors, and seek nuclear weapons while preaching destruction.
A nuclear-armed Iran would not create stability. It would increase the risk of catastrophic war.
As Christians, we are called to pray for peace—but also to stand for truth, justice, and the protection of innocent life.
Peace without truth is only temporary. Truth is where peace begins.
