There is no other way to say it: Celebrating violence against another human being is evil.
Cheering the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
Celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.
Defending the street execution of Brian Thompson because of anger toward an industry.
This is not justice.
It is not compassion.
It is not moral courage.
The ends don’t justify the means.
It is moral disorder.
And when public figures like Jimmy Kimmel make light of violence or death, it feeds something dangerous: a culture of contempt.
As Christians, we cannot normalize this.
The Church teaches that every human person is made in the image of God. That dignity does not disappear because of politics, ideology, or personal failure.
“Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer…” — First Epistle of John 3:15
You can oppose someone’s policies.
You can peacefully fight corruption.
You can peacefully demand accountability.
But celebrating death?
Mocking assassination?
Justifying murder?
That is plain evil masquerading as some virtuous case.
