16 Hours and 16 Time Zones

Aussie Day 1

On March 1, we departed from Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) for our Australia–New Zealand adventure to visit with Bill and Joanne. What still amazes me is that we left the U.S. on March 1 and landed in Brisbane, Australia, on March 3.

Our only mission upon arrival? Stay awake long enough to adjust to a time zone halfway around the world.

Tomorrow, we’ll explore Australia’s Gold Coast. It’s like the most beautiful spring break beaches—without the students. Just kidding!

Brisbane and the Gold Coast truly are stunning. We actually spent two days at the start of our adventure on the Gold Coast before taking an impromptu trip to Sydney due to the weather in Cairns.
