Day 1 on the Gold Coast—and we’re already at a ripper.
Our friend Joanne took us to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. What began in 1947 as a backyard fix for birds eating flowers is now a full-scale conservation hub—treating thousands of animals each year.
You can get up close with Australia’s wildlife in a relaxed, family-friendly setting—yes, even hold a koala and pet a kangaroo (or twenty).
But don’t be fooled by the tourist feel—this is a working sanctuary and full veterinary hospital.
Unreal. Bloody good. 🇦🇺🐨
